Fund Management

As Manager of the Fund, activities performed by the Customized Fund Investment Group ("CFIG"), which is the manager of the fund and the fund investment group of Credit Suisse, will include sourcing premier funds, performing comprehensive due diligence, investment execution, and monitoring and reporting. With over $12 billion in private equity fund of funds commitments, CFIG is one of the largest and most experienced fund of funds managers in the world. CFIG investment professionals have extensive backgrounds in managing private equity portfolios at leading public and corporate pension plans. These individuals represent over ninety years of private equity fund investing at some of the leading public and corporate pension plans and some of the world's largest financial institutions. The CFIG investment professionals have managed more than $22 billion of private equity fund investments over the course of their careers, and have a strong network of contacts in the private equity community.

MICHAEL W. ARPEY

Managing Director

Mr. Arpey is the Co-Head and a Managing Director of the Customized Fund Investment Group. Previously, Mr. Arpey was responsible for oversight of Prudential Insurance Company of America's Private Equity Group. Mr. Arpey also had primary responsibility for managing Prudential's fund investment group. Mr. Arpey joined Prudential in 1999 as a Private Equity Specialist. Previously, Mr. Arpey was Director of Alternative Investments for the New York State Common Retirement Fund, where he managed a $7 billion private equity portfolio. Prior to that, Mr. Arpey was General Counsel to the State Treasurer of Pennsylvania. He was appointed by the State Treasurer as her designee to both the Pennsylvania Public School Employee Retirement System and the State Employees Retirement System. Mr. Arpey received a Bachelor of Science degree with cum laude distinction from St. Lawrence University in 1985 and a Juris Doctor degree from the Dickinson School of Law in 1988.


KELLY M. WILLIAMS

Managing Director

Ms. Williams is the Co-Head and a Managing Director of the Customized Fund Investment Group. Previously, Ms. Williams was an Executive Director with the Prudential Insurance Company of America's Private Equity Group. At Prudential, Ms. Williams was responsible for investing in private equity funds on behalf of Prudential and its clients. She also had oversight responsibility of Prudential's portfolio of over 70 venture capital funds. From 1996 to mid-1999, Ms. Williams was primarily responsible for product and business development, as well as legal support, for Prudential's Private Equity Group, during which period she was responsible for the development of eight private equity funds globally. Ms. Williams joined Prudential in 1993 as counsel for a Prudential unit that specialized in providing private debt and equity for global infrastructure projects. Prior to joining Prudential, Ms. Williams was an associate with the New York law firm, Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy, where she specialized in global project finance. Ms. Williams graduated magna cum laude from Union College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Mathematics and received her Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 1989.


MARK REGAL

Director

Mr. Regal is a Director in the Customized Fund Investment Group. Previously, Mark was a Senior Associate in Prudential's private equity group and had responsibility for reviewing Prudential's private equity partnership investments. Prior to joining Prudential, Mark was employed by BankAmerica Capital Corporation, where he was charged with the day-to-day responsibilities of its venture capital fund portfolio. Prior to that, Mark was an Analyst for Alternative Investments at the Minnesota State Board of Investment. Prior to that, Mark was employed at the Minneapolis law firm of Popham Haik Schnobrich & Kaufman. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of the CFA Institute and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, where he serves on the Alternative Investments Committee.


DAVID ALMODOVAR

Vice President

Mr. Almodovar is a Vice President in the Customized Fund Investment Group. Previously, David was a Director in private equity group at the Russell Investment Group and had responsibility for investing and monitoring Russell's private equity partnership investments. Prior to joining Russell, David was a Principal with SS Thomas & Associates and was responsible for advising the firm's clients on investment strategies, fund structures and fund raising strategies. Prior to SS Thomas & Associates, David was an Investment Officer in the alternative investment division of the Washington State Investment Board where he managed a $5.2 billion portfolio of private equity investments. Prior to his work in the investment industry, David served in many capacities in the U.S. Army, including assignments in the United States, South Korea and Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. Mr. Almodovar received a BA in Marketing and Management from the University of Washington in 1996, and an MBA from St. Martin's College, School of Business & Economics in 1998.


MEL CARTER

In-State Investment Specialist

Located in Ohio, Mr. Carter is an In-State Investment Specialist to the Customized Fund Investment Group. Previously, Mel was Senior Vice President, Membership Services, with the Columbus Chamber, providing strategic leadership and direction to operations while supporting regional economic development. Prior to that, Mel built and took public the world's largest engineered fiberglass-reinforced products company as company co-founder and vice president of business development of Denali Incorporated; doubled revenues to $700 million over a two-year period in building the world's largest integrated process equipment company as senior marketing officer for EnviroTech (a Baker Hughes company); participated in over $1.4 billion in completed acquisitions and divestitures (as a team leader on over half the transactions); raised over $150 million in new money through a variety of debt and equity financing vehicles; and formed and operated a successful consulting practice. Mr. Carter has also served on the Investment Screening Committee for The Ohio TechAngel Fund. Mr. Carter has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA, both with honors, from The University of Texas at Austin.
